Pain In The Neck Bothering You? Find Tips For Relief!

Chin Tuck: Sit down with your back and neck straight and face forward with shoulders tiltedslightly towards your back; Tuck your chin in to a level where you feel a moderate stretch; Hold for 5 seconds and repeat.

Neck movements: The following movements work best for a stiff or sore neck. It can improve elasticity of neck muscles and relieve the stiffness:

  1. Stay hydrated: Drinking a lot of water can help cleaning harmful bacteria and debris from between your teeth. Avoid sugary drinks.
  2. Cut down too much coffee: Consider herbal or green tea instead of coffee as it is strong smell and hard to get off the back of your tongue.
  3. Oral Hygiene: Regular brushing of teeth after dinner, cleaning your mouth with mouth rinse especially after eating foods like garlic, onion, eggs, meat, etc.
  4. Avoid smoking and tobacco products: Cigarettes, pipes, and snuff can foul your breath. Smoking can make bad breath worse.

Yoga: Yoga stretches are considered to have an effective impact on neck injuries. There are several Yoga poses which are proven to be beneficial in strengthening neck muscles, in combination with shoulder muscles and spinal cord. Some exercises are Salabhasana, Bhujangasana, Tadasana and Ardhamatsyendrasana.
